How do I install Tahoe New Tab?

Download and extract the extension ZIP. Open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked, and choose the extracted folder containing manifest.json. Our download page walks you through each step.

Is Tahoe New Tab free?

Yes. The extension download on this website is free. You don’t need a Tahoe account. Search, AI and media services may have their own accounts or plans.

Does it work on mobile?

This download is made for Chrome on desktop. You can explore this website and watch the film on your phone, then download the extension on your computer.

Where are my notes and settings stored?

Your settings, notes and uploaded wallpapers are stored locally in the extension. Online features, including weather, search and remote wallpapers, contact their respective service providers. See the privacy overview for details.

Can I switch back to my old new tab?

Yes. Open Chrome’s Extensions page and disable or remove Tahoe. Chrome will return to its normal new-tab behavior when no other new-tab extension is enabled.
